Material Mahogany, solid and veneer, surface professionally repolished, brass fittings polished and stove-enamelled (two replaced), lining renewed, excellent condition Silver, serving pieces partially gilt, gilding rubbed in places, old iron blades replaced by new stainless ones, slight signs of wear, all pieces monogrammed “H” (Hölck Family, Alstervilla Hamburg), very good condition
Provenance private property, Germany (The Hölck family sold their Alster villa in Hamburg and its contents for reasons of age and emigrated to Brazil)
