Landscape painter, lithographer and illustrator

Born on October 3, 1876 in Vienna, died on August 11, 1916 in Waidhofen/Ybbs. Studied at the

Schäffer'sche Zeichenschule in Vienna, then with Sigmund l'Allemand and Franz Rumpler at the Vienna Academy. Member of the "Phalanx", which also included Oskar Laske, Otto Prutscher and Wilhelm Wodnansky, among others, and from which the "Jugendbund" group later emerged, which then joined the "Hagenbund". He first exhibited in the Hagenbund in 1905.
