From 1888 to 1894, he studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna and at the Academy in Munich; co-founder of the Vienna Secession and the Hagenbund as well as member of the Society of Visual Artists in Vienna. Served as director of the artists' foundry in Vienna.
