OSWALD HAERDTL

Haerdtl studied under Oskar Strnad and Josef Frank, later became an assistant to Josef Hoffmann and taught at the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts from 1949. His designs for furniture, glassware, silverware and room furnishings were implemented in numerous public commissions in Vienna in the 1950s, including for the Museum of the City of Vienna, the Volksgarten dance café in 1958, the Graben Café as well as for Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB).
