History, portrait and landscape painter as well as graphic artist, poet and musician

Stöhr was educated at the Vienna School of Applied Arts from 1877 to 1879 and at the Vienna Academy under Rudolf Carl Huber, August Eisenmenger and Leopold Carl Müller until 1887. From 1896 he was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus, and from 1897 until his death a founding member of the Vienna Secession.
