Landscape, genre and portrait painter

Student at the Vienna School of Applied Arts, further education in Paris, study trips to Italy, Belgium and Tunis. Numerous commissions for important Viennese Ringstrasse buildings: Curtain and ceiling paintings for the Vienna Volkstheater, ceiling paintings in the swimming hall of the Dianabad, murals in the Ronacher, Maria Theresien Hall of the Neue Hofburg. He received awards at numerous important international exhibitions. From 1890 he was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. In addition to public commissions, Veith was a valued portrait painter of the ladies of Viennese society, but also painted landscapes and genre pictures.
