Although the adjustable chandelier is from the private property of the family of Königlicher Amtsrat (senior official in the royal administration) Friedrich Meyer of Göttingen, it is a secessionist work of art from Vienna. The object clearly bears the characteristic hallmarks of Hoffmann‘s early creative period around 1902/03, before Wiener Werkstätte was established.
