Vases with Cytisus décor are almost without exception hallmarks of the most creative period of glassmaking. This interestingly rhythmic décor marked by a multitude of colourful effects, which is also very close to contemporary Viennese paintings (such as Klimt's Beethoven series of 1902), was used almost exclusively on designs with vividly undulating contours.
