Architect, designer, professor, member of Wiener Werkstätte

Studied art under Franz von Matsch and architecture under Josef Hoffmann; later became professor at the Wiener Kunstgewerbeschule (Vienna School of Arts and Crafts). Designed villas, residential buildings, shops and other buildings as well as furniture, silverware (Wiener Werkstätte, J. & C. Klinkosch, E. Friedmann), jewellery, porcelain (Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur, Augarten), ceramics (Wienerberger Werkstätten), stoves, glass (J. & L. Lobmeyr, Haida) table cloths/napkins (Herburger & Rhomberg, Vienna), carpets, fabrics, book covers, leather goods and lamps.
